MASTER OF DIVINITY

PURPOSE
The Master of Divinity is a professional program designed to equip students with a complete foundation of biblical, theological and historical perspective; ministry, leadership and communication skills; and spiritually rooted character development necessary to lead successful, fruitful, and dynamic Christian ministries over the long term. It can also serve as a foundation for further graduate studies, leading to such degrees as Master of Theology, Doctor of Ministry, Doctor of Missiology, or Doctor of Philosophy.

TARGET GROUP
This program is appropriate for pastors, evangelists, missionaries, teachers, and leaders in para-church organizations. The program thoroughly equips students with the skills to be life long learners and leaders.

MAJORS
LEADERSHIP STUDIES
– prepares students for ministry in church and parachurch ministries. The student selects the emphasis that best suits his/her future ministry. Emphases available include Pastoral Ministry, Church Planting, Community Transformation, Educational Ministry, or Organizational Development.

BIBLICAL STUDIES – prepares students to preach and teach in a local church; or teach and train in Bible schools or parachurch organizations.

INTERCULTURAL STUDIES – prepares students to develop a ministriy in a cross-cultural situation. The student selects the emphasis that best suits his/her future ministry. Emphases available include Intercultural Studies focus, Church Planting, Community Transformation, and Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL).
