Q: Do you accept undergraduates (i.e. applicants with no Bachelor's degree?

A: No. Except for our Partners in Ministry program, we do not accept applicants who do not have a Bachelor’s degree. Even special students are required to have completed a Bachelor’s degree.

Our programs are not limited to Bible College graduates only. Those who have completed engineering, nursing, or other secular degrees may also apply for our masteral programs.


Q: Do you offer Bachelor's degrees?

A: No. IGSL is a graduate-level seminary. We only offer masteral and doctoral programs.


Q: How do I apply?What are the requirements for admission?Where do I get an application packet?

A: You may download our application forms at http://www.glg-igsl.org and submit them to our Admissions Office at QCCPO Box 1495-1154 Quezon City, Philippines.

Applicants from Myanmar may get application packets from Myanmar Campus Crusade for Christ at this address:

Applicants from South Asia must be aware that the Campus Crusade for Christ leadership screens prospective applicants to IGSL. An electronic copy of your application forms will be sent to them once we receive your complete application forms.

We also require applicants to pass the EPT (English Proficiency Test) or the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or IELTS (International English Language Testing System). International or provincial applicants may contact us for info on how to take the EPT in your home country or province. This service is not available in all countries/provinces.

Q: What are the requirements for the Master of Theology (Th.M.) program?

A: Please refer to the Master of Theology section.


Q. What are the requirements for the Doctor in Ministry (D.Min.) program?

A: Simply fill up the DMIN application forms available here. D.Min. applicants are not required to submit medical forms.


Q. I've downloaded the application forms from your website. Can I just
e-mail all the completed forms back to you?

A: Yes, except for those that require your (or your spouse’s) signature in ink, and provided that they retain the same format as when you downloaded them. You may e-mail the forms to admissions@glg-igsl.org or igsladmissions@yahoo.com.


Q: When is the application deadline?

A: IGSL accepts applications all year round. However, we do have cut-off dates for every academic year:

 South Asians

January 15

 All other international applicants

March 1

 Filipinos residing outside of the NCR

March 15

 Residents of the National Capital Region (NCR)
April 1
 Special Students (Filipinos only)

May 14

These deadlines are for our masteral degrees. There is no set deadline for the DMin in Leadership Effectiveness program. (Please contact the program director, Steve Hobson, for more information.) For the DMin in Peace Studies program, please see that specific web page.

International applicants particularly those from South Asia and/or who require English intensive training (EIT) are encouraged to submit their applications at least six months before their intended enrollment date to allow time for processing, visa application, etc.


Q: Who decides whether an applicant will be admitted or not?

A: A team of qualified graduate theological education practitioners decides whether one is to be admitted or not. This team is referred to as the Admissions Committee and is divided into two sub-committees - Filipino and International. During the course of your application process, you will be in contact with them through their representative.


Q: Do you accept transferees?

A: Yes, transferees are accepted provided that they are granted an honorable dismissal and recommendation letter by the graduate seminary they previously attended. All other admission requirements apply. International transferees must also meet our visa requirements and abide by the policies of the Bureau of Immigration (BI).


Q: Can I audit classes?

A: Yes, audit status is available to anyone who desires to take a course for personal enrichment without receiving credit for the course. An audit student only needs to complete a Special Student application, enroll in classes and pay related fees. Courses are open to audit students on a space-available basis only, and instructors are not required to grade the coursework of audit students.


Q: Can I take classes as a special or non-degree student?

A: An individual who has not been admitted to a degree program may be allowed to take courses for graduate credit as a special student. Special Students must hold a Bachelor’s degree, complete a Special Student application, pass the English Proficiency Test (EPT) and be accepted for Special Student status by the Admissions Committee. They are allowed to take a total of 32 credit hours on a space available basis. Acceptance as a special student does not guarantee regular admission to our degree programs.

Beginning AY 2006-2007, only Filipinos will be allowed to enter as Special Students.


Q: Do you offer correspondence classes?

A: Yes. Please contact the Extension Office or click here for more details.


Q: We are a group of pastors, church workers and lay leaders many of whom have had no previous undergraduate training and we cannot leave our current place of ministry. Do you also offer theological education by extension?

A: Yes. Please contact the Extension Office or click here for more details.


Q: How do I know I have already been admitted at IGSL?

A: If your application forms are complete, your application for admission will be decided from two to four weeks. If your application has not been decided yet within this time frame, please contact the Admissions Office.

If your application forms are incomplete, the Admissions Office requests that you comply with all admission requirements first. Please keep a copy of the application information sheet and use it as your checklist.


Q: My friend also wants to apply at IGSL but the application deadline has passed. Can hes still apply?

A: The applications of those who were unable to meet the application deadline (and those unable to make it in time for the pre-session) will be considered for the following school year. You will be required, however, to update your forms such as the Application for Admission form, Spiritual LIfe Essay and Medical History.

Filipino students have the option of applying as a Special (or Non-degree) Student.
